Our mission is simple. To help keep the homeless warm during winter months by distributing sleeping bags each year just before the coldest days arrive.  As we grow HelpKeepWarm.org, our goals will always include guidelines to bring awareness to homeless conditions across the United States and to network with and support existing groups striving to put an end to homelessness.

About one-third of the adult homeless population have served their country in the Armed Services.

The coldest months are usually around November through February, depending on what area of the country you live in. During this time, the meteorologists always remind us to bring in our animals to keep them warm and safe.  One night in December 2006, I was listening to this report and looked over at Weiner and Ginger (my dogs) lying on their doggy beds by the fire place and thought, what about the homeless!

Until we walk in someone else's shoes, it would be next to impossible to understand how they got to where they're at.

Please join us to help keep the homeless warm, one sleeping bag at a time.

In spirit and love,

Ricki South, Founder
